Neighborhood Egg Hunt!

At last year's neighborhood hunt Gabriel had only been walking for a couple weeks. This year was a different story. From the moment we got to the park he was not interested in lining up and waiting for the "Go" time...he wanted to run to the eggs! Luckily they divide the hunt into 4 and under and then the bigger kids so he didn't get trampled.

You can see him inching his way in front of the other little ones.

"Did someone say GO?"

He went over and stole another little boy's basket, not sure if that was strategy.

And they're off!

It is safe to say that Gabriel got as many eggs as he wanted. He didn't quite realize what was inside them so after about a dozen he was ready to do something else. When it was time for the big kids to hunt he went tearing to the other side of the park to hang out with them.

Going in for a kiss. My little ladies man.

We tried to get all the kids to sit for a picture. Yeah right, it was like herding cats!

Fun day!

2 year old photo session

2 year old stats: Gabriel is now weighing in at 26 pounds and is just over 34 inches tall. We are a long way from 4lbs 9ounces and 18 inches!

Here are some pictures from his 2 year old photo shoot! I love them!!

Gabriel's favorite sitter!

And the winner is.....Grandma aka "Gamma!"

The last week of March I was hosting and facilitating 3 days of all day meetings, including dinners, with the West Region Exam team. Since Keven has been traveling quite a bit I couldn't risk him being out of town so Grandma came to the rescue. It was actually perfect because she got to celebrate her birthday (3/30) with us, which was the first time with Gabriel and the first time with me in 12 years. Gabriel and I sang to her everyday when we enjoyed her birthday carrot cake. He has become quite the singer. Unfortunately since I was in meetings for most of her visit we didn't get the chance to take too many pictures.

On the last day of her visit we did get to ride the train at San Tan mall. As soon as Gabriel saw the train he was ready!

The conductor told him he had to wave at people...so wave he did!

New Landscaper!

Our yard has never looked better! The great thing about living in a neighborhood with so many families is hand me down toys! Gabriel "acquired" this from a neighbor last week. When it was new it blew bubbles as it was pushed. I am actually glad that it doesn't work because as it is he throws a fit when it is time to go inside and stop cutting the grass. I can't imagine if bubbles were involved!

Making a turn. So serious!

Must have been too hard to fix because he decided to play with Rahja instead.

Uh oh, he just spotted the bubble container!

We finished the afternoon with a drum solo on some rocks.
