Introducing "Drool-ius Caesar"
You may notice in the video that Gabriel's shirt is quite wet. His poor little mouth continues to be a faucet. We have affectionately nicknamed him Droolius Caesar.
Tonight I was trying to capture his favorite couch activity...jumping on either me or Keven and hooting like an owl. Actually he hoots all the time, it is really funny. He also sways, especially to music. As usual the stage fright set in as soon as he saw the camera but I had to share anyway since he is so cute!

More new skills!
Guess who sits up unassisted?! I mean, he can't sit and watch a movie or anything and turning to the side sometimes causes a topple but he is sitting none the less.
He is full of personality these days. He loves to sway back and forth when mommy sings "Old McDonald", the ABC song or "You are my Sunshine." He reaches and grabs for just about everything, especially the remote...is that a guy thing? He loves to be tickled. He sleeps through the night, every night and even sleeps in on the weekends! He gives me a big huge grin when I come in and tell him good morning. Now that he can roll over at will he is always popped up on his arms looking at himself in the mirror. He still loves to practice standing, although he forgets to bend his knees sometimes. He is a funny little guy. It seems silly to say that about a 6 month old but he definitely has a sense of humor. He just makes everyday better!

Gabriel and the fish.
As an early birthday celebration for Keven we all went to the SeaLife Aquarium followed by lunch at Claim Jumper. Originally my thought was that Keven would like it and it would be an easy stroller place. Little did I know that G would want as much window time as his daddy. I guess these two really will SCUBA together before long.
Look closely in the glass and you can see Gabriel's reflection.

6 month growth chart!
I realized that I forgot to post Gabriel's 6 month stats, how dare me!
Birth: 4 pounds, 9 ounces and 18 inches long.
6 months: 15 pounds! and 26 1/2 inches!
Still some catching up to do with weight but height wise he has done fantastic! Most term babies will grow 10 inches the first year, Gabriel has grown 8 1/2 in 6 months! He continues to be my banana baby.

Dancing Baby
Okay, well maybe just a sway. Either way Gabriel loves "Old McDonald." He has figured out how to play it in his exersaucer...over and over and over. He sways to the tune, very cute!

3rd time is the charm
Tonight Gabriel sat down for his 3rd jar of sweet potatoes. He liked the flavor right away with the first jar, he just struggled with what to do with it once in his mouth and seemed to get bored with it half way through. Most of it ended up outside of his mouth. Don't get me wrong, it was still messy but, tonight he finished the whole jar for the first time!...and almost his whole bottle afterward. My little "sweet potato" is growing!

Not always sweet...but always cute!
Since Gabriel will be 6 months old tomorrow (9/10) I was attempting to get some good pictures. I took him outside to the courtyard since it has the best afternoon light. I was determined to get some great pictures. Unfortunately my star was just not having it. I got a couple smiles but he wasn't his usual self, smiling at everything. He made me work! I could tell he just wasn't into it.
I decided not to try and force it and just head inside. Gabriel was playing in his bouncer and I was around the corner when I heard the worst thing I could hear....grunting! Loud grunting! Gabriel decided to ring in his 6 month birthday with the biggest poop of his little life. I apologize for being so frank but this is afterall my baby book. I have to document all memories, cute and stinky. Needless to say he was a whole new man after the "event."
Here are a few other cute pictures from outside. Gabriel was enjoying the breeze on his face. He smiled everytime the wind blew. Now that the temperature is cooling off we can start spending more time outside in the fresh air.
Our bush was entertaining for a little while, but not as funny as when the wind blew the blanket onto his head.
My favorite pants! How can you not like a puppy on the butt!

The rollover.
This past weekend was Labor Day weekend. Gabriel had plans for his "labor." he spent the whole weekend rolling over. He mastered it last week and seems he knew it because now he won't stop! He will not stay on his back for more than 5 minutes. This is fine except he has NOT mastered how to go from stomach to back so he get stuck. I have yet to capture a video of it...coming soon.
This weekend Gabriel and Rahja had some cuddle time. At one point G had her lip pulled up almost over her head. So far she has been a great dog! I think they will be great playmates.
Monday we had a BBQ at the Wojo's, which seems to be an annual thing. At last year's BBQ Keven and I announced that we were expecting so it was fun to be there this year with G. He chatted with the ladies and got some pool time with the boys (with plenty of sunblock)...and was fast asleep before I got out of the Wojo's driveway.
