All play and no work!

That was our theme for the weekend! We had two pool party BBQ's, one at the Enzweiler's and one at the Wojo's. The only way to survive Arizona heat is in a pool!

Here is my smiley boy at the Enzweiler's party. He loves the water!

"You needed to mop anyway."

We bought Gabriel a new sink to play in. We are finding that he would much rather stand up and play these days then sit in the floor. He also loves to mimic what we do. Lately he loves to try and feed us all, including Pooh. He brushes his hair, tries to use a Q-tip (supervised), still trying to master utensils, loves to blow your nose! Anyhow, as soon as he saw the sink he loved it. All but one of the cups have holes in the botton so the water drains out before it can be dumped. Leave it to our genius to find the one with no hole right off the bat. He was actually trying to drink from it...like his parents. He drank maybe 10%...the other 90% was on him and on the floor. No worries, the floor is slate and we needed to mop anyway!

The sink now lives outside. Great fun for a hot day!

Yogurt Beard

Gabriel was trying a new look with his yogurt. Sure, I could have cleaned it off but he is so stinking cute!

A day of cake!

Last Saturday we attended two birthday parties! The first was for Keira, who was turning 2. Gabriel had alot of fun in the pool and trying to hang out with the big kids and mostly eating. He was all about the ham until he saw the grape and watermelon skewers. He went straight for them. Then he tried a peanut butter and strawberry uncrustable sandwich and then onto a cookie. Unfortunately we didn't bring our camera to the first party.

After a trip home for a nap it was off to Bounce U for Caden's 4th birthday party. Gabriel had visited Bounce U back in February and was NOT a big fan. He is still not a fan of bouncing but did enjoy running from one end of the room to the other and watching the other kids.

My busy bee.

From the moment Gabriel wakes up these days he has a long "to-do" list. He has so much to check out, even if he checked it out the day before. He has been especially busy since we got home from Atlanta, I guess he is making sure everything is how he left it.

IMG_3090

He checked on the remote control.
IMG_3071

Checked on his tupperware.
IMG_3073

Trying to figure out his watch.
IMG_3087

A quick swiffer.
IMG_3080

IMG_3082

Suddenly needed to take off towards his playroom to check on something.
IMG_3093

Here he comes again.
IMG_3094

And now a little more swiffering while wearing his watch.
IMG_3099

All of that deserves a round of applause!

Boys and their trucks!

This was a birthday gift from the Anderson's. I walked into his playroom before I snapped these pictures and he was sitting in the back of the dump truck swinging his legs and smiling. He was also stuck. I showed him how to get in and out so he practiced a couple times.

They have arrived!

Gabriel's curls that is. They arrived almost overnight about 2 weeks ago.

It takes a little humidity to really make them spring into action. His hair was so cute during our recent trip to Atlanta. Unfortunately we forgot our camera so I have no pictures to show you. Although techinically I wouldn't have had many anyway because Keven and I left Gabriel with my mom and Gene for 3 nights for our first overnight trip together without Gabriel. I missed him every minute of the day but knew he was in great hands....afterall, she raised me ;-) Everyone got along famously. I am not even sure we were missed. Gabriel had quite a few visitors and kept them all entertained. He also became a fan of watermelon, pop chips and graham crackers dunked in milk.

While in Georgia Gabriel also hit his 16 month "birthday." He is becoming quite a little character. He has such an infectious laugh and is just so curious about everything. Show him something once and he will do it...which is good and bad. I have such a crush on him.

Oh crap!

Sorry, there is just no better way to put it. As you can see by the pictures below Gabriel can now open and close doors. He loves to close doors. Definitely time for new safety measures!

Another security breach! Gabriel loves the laundry room and doggie door. So far he has not tried to go through it but is forever curious about the flap. Good thing we don't have a pool!
