Gabriel is getting really close to being able to put his shoes on by himself. He did put a pair of pants on this weekend. They were crooked as could be but he did it!

Did I mention?...
...that Gabriel likes my ipod? He was listening to Tom Petty's "American Girl." I need to find some kid sized headphones.
Gabriel stayed up past his bedtime...
...for a fun reason! Last Thursday, along with 9 other families, we packed a limo tour bus for a Christmas Light tour. The bus had couches, built-in cooler, a bathroom, 50 inch flat-screen TV and wood floors. It was decked out! There were 42 bodies total. We had so much fun. Everyone came in Christmas PJ's and we shared plenty of sweet treats and hot chocolate. Gabriel loved it!! With "Light" being one of his main words he got to practice it over and over again. We drove around the East Valley for about 3 hours looking at all kinds of neighborhood light displays. Some were just amazing. Keven is already planning for next year. Definitely a new tradition that we will keep.

This house had a polar bear in the yard that was over 20ft tall! Trying to get the kids to sit and smile was an impossible task.

At our last stop the kids got to stretch their legs, and burn off sugar, at a play area while we watched a light show.

Recently Gabriel and I attended his friend Evan's 2nd birthday party. Evan is the last kid to turn 2 before Gabriel. Ugh, hurts to say it! Gabriel had a blast playing with the other kids and especially playing in the playhouse in the backyard. Looks like we need one!

Music Man
I have known since shortly after Gabriel was born that he loved music. He will stop in his tracks and bust into dance if the song suits him. Well, he has now dicovered my ipod. I helped him put it on his ears and hit play. He was quite entertained. He bounced to Usher and Stevie Wonder!
As you can see this was before a much needed haircut.

BBQ with the Mendez Gang!
While we were in town we had an opportunity to ge together with some of Keven's family. In the past we have seen them at Christmas but this year we are having an Arizona Christmas so it was great to get to see everyone. Keven's cousin Shelia voluntered her house for a gathering and his other cousin Danny cooked up some great food! That is all you need for a party. It was great for Gabriel to get to meet everyone. Technically he already had but the last he saw them he was only 4 months old. Boy was he ready to put on a show this time! He quite enjoyed the music and made a dance floor for himself on the patio. Unfortunately we don't have a video but if you look at this collection of pictures you will get the idea.

Gabriel played a little basketball...well, he held it. Doesn't it look like he is getting ready to shoot though ;-)
